BrightPath Visa Consultancy Attends Exclusive SHEA Event

On August 18, 2024, BrightPath Visa Consultancy was honored to be among the select education agents invited by Skyline Higher Education Australia (SHEA) to an exclusive business partners event at the Holiday Inn and Suites in Makati City.

The day began with a warm welcome from the SHEA team after registration, followed by a lively photo session. I couldn't resist grabbing a handheld prop that read, "Study Abroad in Australia," while Matthew proudly held one that said, "I love SHEA." And who wouldn't love SHEA? They hosted this wonderful event just for us!

Study Abroad in Australia!

After the photo ops, we were greeted by Mr. Ramil Cortez, the Country Representative for the Philippines, and Ms. Yen Vui, Business Development Manger- Vietnam. We were then ushered into the hall, where we had the chance to meet and converse with Professor Peter Ryan, a Higher Education Principal Advisor. Our discussion with him touched on regulatory approvals and new immigration policies—an insightful conversation that set a positive tone for the rest of the day.

The program kicked off with a welcoming address from CEO Suresh Basnit, introduced by Mr. Ramil Cortez. Mr. Basnit shared the inspiring story of SHEA's beginnings, his vision for the future, and expressed his gratitude for the continuing support of his team.

Mr. Ramil Cortez then led an information session about SHEA, introducing the exciting courses they offer, including:

  • Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT)

  • Bachelor of Information Technology with a Specialization in Artificial Intelligence

  • Bachelor of Information Technology with a Specialization in Cybersecurity

These courses are designed to build agility and flexibility, equipping students with the skills needed to adapt to rapidly changing technological environments. The curriculum covers the impact of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, Blockchain, IoT, data science, and more.

Enrolling in these programs not only provides valuable skills but also opens up opportunities for Permanent Residency and other visa options, such as the Post Study Work Stream Visa (Subclass 485), Skilled Migration, and State Nomination. IT-related professions, including roles in cybersecurity and AI, are on Australia's Medium and Long-Term Strategic Skills List (MTSSL), making these programs particularly appealing for future-proofing one's career.

After an insightful discussion on fees, intakes, and other business-related details for agents, there was a Q&A session where everyone had the chance to ask questions. The event concluded with a group photo of all the agents and the SHEA team on the podium, capturing the camaraderie and shared excitement.

We then enjoyed a delightful dinner, made even more special by live entertainment featuring a mix of Spanish and English songs. The evening ended on a high note with a lively dance session, bringing everyone together in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere.

This was our first time attending such a welcoming and relaxed agent event. The SHEA team truly made everyone feel at home. Their IT courses are open to K12 or Bachelor's degree graduates aged 18-26, with an IELTS score of 6 overall (no band less than 5.5) or a PTE score of 50-57.
